About Us

I first became interested in First Aid when I was working as an administrator for Somerfield in Buxton.  Part of my job was to make out the accident reports and I quickly realised that I needed to be First Aid trained so that I could administer First Aid to customers.  After my course I was hooked.  I then moved to Buxton Lime Industries where I became a first aider and a member of the First Aid competition team – first as a casualty and then as a competitor.  We were then trained as trainers and assessors and delivered in-house training gaining a trainer/assessor qualification.  After the incorporation of Kiss of Life Ltd I attended Tameside College in Ashton-under-Lyne where I gained my Cert Ed (FE) teaching qualification under the University of Sunderland and received my certificate at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland.  I became a member of the Institute of Verifiers Association to receive updates on knowledge and skill.  I also attend seminars and workshops to widen my understanding of training and first aid techniques.

Our aim is to make you feel comfortable with first aid which will give you confidence, and then you will become a competent first aider.  Although it is a serious subject you are invited to bring your sense of humour along and enjoy the course.
